Bargain Balloons Helium Estimate Calculator

Determining the amount of helium you need to purchase when you are planning for an event can be tricky. To buy the correct tank size, you will have to calculate how many cubic feet of helium you need to fill all of your balloons.

The Bargain Balloons Helium Estimate Calculator is an easy way to calculate the amount of helium you need to buy. A PDF version is also available but, you will have to calculate the math yourself.

The Helium Calculator provides a conservative average estimate. The estimates will be close to the amount of helium needed for latex and standard 17-inch to 18-inch foil balloons. Jumbo foil balloons can only be calculated as a rough estimate because they come in different shapes and sizes.

We have separated most of the foil balloons that require substantially more helium than the average balloon and list them on separate lines. It is important to inflate latex balloons to the suggested manufacturer size or the amount of helium will vary from the original estimate.

Helium tanks come in a variety of sizes and the helium stored in the tank is most commonly measured in cubic feet. Our calculator shows four of the most common sizes.
