Are latex balloons reusable or refillable?

Latex balloons are not meant to be reused or refilled.  Once exposed to the elements– latex balloons begin to biodegrade quickly and oxidize.

 

The quality of the latex degrades so much with just one use, that if you attempt to reuse it, you will not get very good results. Unless you use clips to seal the balloons instead of hand tying the balloons to hold the air or helium– untying the knot will be very difficult.

 

If you really want to reuse a latex balloon, here are a few DIY ideas we have seen:
