Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is a plastic material commonly used for many different purposes. PVC pipes are often used in construction, the plumbing industry, and in the balloon industry for decorating.

There are two forms of PVC - rigid and flexible – with flexible plastic being softer and easier to bend than a harder more rigid PVC.

PVC is hazardous when burned because it releases hydrogen chloride fumes. Always make sure the PVC pipes being used are in a safe area, away from a fire-prone location.

PVC pipes can be purchased from any home improvement or hardware store. The pipes are affordable and reusable (depending on what it's being used for). They can be used to make balloon arches, columns, and much more balloon decor.
