Warnings printed on foil balloons may be required by law in some states or jurisdictions. Below are some details on the warnings or messages printed on foil balloons.

Messages printed on balloons may include, "keep balloons away from all electrical power lines", "tie all balloons to weights, and "do not release balloons outdoors". There are various product warnings to protect the manufacturers from liability and to educate and caution users of the product. 

CE markings are the manufacturer's declaration a product complies with essential requirements relevant to the European health, safety, and environmental protection legislation. CE markings are mandatory in order for balloons to be sold in Europe because balloons fall under the guidelines as a children's toy. 

A manufacturer typically prints warnings and cautions in small text near the top or bottom of the balloon. Once a balloon is inflated the warnings are not so visible, especially if printed on the top of the balloon. 

Most foil balloons sold internationally have similar warnings and emblems (i.e. the CE marking), so the same balloon with the same warning can be sold in every country. It is important to note that the printing of each warning or caution may not be required for safety.

• Do not expose balloons to extreme heat or heat sources, it can cause the balloon to burst
• Cold air can cause the balloon to appear deflated. Exposure to warm air will restore proper inflation.
